Citizenship

Canadian citizenship is the final step in the immigration journey. Once eligible, permanent residents can apply to become Canadian citizens, gaining the right to vote, hold a Canadian passport, and access consular assistance abroad.

To be eligible, you must have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days within the five years before your application date, meet language and knowledge requirements, and have filed your taxes.
