The Alberta Opportunity Stream is designed for foreign nationals who are already living and working in Alberta. To be eligible, applicants generally must meet the following requirements:

Currently working in Alberta with a valid work permit
Occupation qualifies under the Alberta Opportunity Stream criteria
Minimum language proficiency (CLB/NCLC level varies by NOC category)

Alberta Express Entry Stream

The Alberta Express Entry Stream is for candidates who have an active Express Entry profile and can demonstrate a strong connection to Alberta. Eligibility requirements generally include:

Active Express Entry profile with a valid Express Entry number
Expressed interest in immigrating to Alberta
Occupation supports Alberta's economic development and diversification
Minimum CRS score as determined by AAIP
